November.

While sitting and sipping wine and ranting about love and life with some of my dearest and closest, I had a moment of clarity not so long ago, and decided that I knew what love and life meant to me, and that it was almost as simple as a sincere slow dance. Listening to Leonard Cohen and this particular song written regarding a blow job from Janis Joplin, I found that I was the most happy and content I'd ever been and in exactly the right place at the right time, and it fell on the one month anniversary of my arrival here. This particular song became the reference for the past month and its particular enjoyment, and It was decided that we would document a song for every month that I was here in the states, the result being a beautiful mix tape that had not been pre determined by choice, but that the song chosen for the month would reveal itself in life and have relevance to moments of perfection. This is November's.

The perfection and bliss that is life right now.

I guess a testament to the time I'm having here in San Francisco is the belated posts.
It feels as though I've squished 6 months into the last 6 weeks, and there's no stopping now.

Heavy Metal Thanksgivings. FunFunFunFest. Austin. Rambo Thanksgivings. Blackouts at Pops. Street Music Parties. Halloween. Delores Park. St Francis for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Art gallery openings. Grinderman. Daily coffee from 'the babe'. Heavy Metal arts and crafts. Bender Bar gigs. Planetariums. Carlo Rossi everynight. Hemlock hangouts. SF Giants Riots. Day of the Dead Parade. Vintage shopping. Possessing Nick Caves bodily fluids and face sauce on a towel. I can't believe this is my life.

This is a bunch of Cameron's stuff again, cos I love it always. This is sartorial Winter.

A home away from home

Last week I upped and moved half way around the world, to a city that I'd never seen, a family of friends I'd never met, and a plethora of opportunities I didn't know existed.

Here's hoping, so far so good.

I'm heading to Texas in a week for a Music Festival, and was reminded of this editorial I came across while waiting for my lunch in a takeaway burger restaurant the week before I left for San francisco, as I'd stopped buying Russh awhile ago, as it began to seem like all the editorials were appropriations of others I'd seen before.
But this one got to me, the little adventurous part that was hopping across the world, longed to be part of this place. While I sat there and I read the editors letter, and it struck home, with hope for what my new little future held. I told myself I'd buy the issue before I left and it would be a constant reminder to read of what I was embarking on and to make the most of all that comes my way real soon.

And, I'm already making my way to Austin..

Wanderlust

The MinkPink Swim Collection and Campaign is pretty wholesome and wonderful, and makes me more and more dreading the idea of going back to back winters. Aside from from the weather, it'll be crazy times of love, parties, and pure wholesomeness.
Annabelle works for MinkPink these days and so Im privy to all the inside goods coming from these guys.
As well as her banging blog Lovemore.
